Good turn out for Bonar Ladies Open

THE Bonar Bridge/Ardgay Ladies Open was held on Saturday, with 75 ladies playing.

A great contingency from the north coast arrived by train and members of clubs travelled from the west coast, Inverness and Strathspey as well as the local clubs of Tain, Dornoch, Brora, Golspie, Invergordon and Tarbat.

Results:

Silver Division – Scratch Trophy (Renton Finlayson Rose bowl) June Nicol (9) Inverness with a gross 85.

Ist Handicap and the Ledmore Trophy – Jeani Hunter, Bonar Bridge/Ardgay (20) 69; 2 Angela Williamson, Thurso (20) 75; 3 Fiona Williams, Inverness (14) 77 (bih); 4 Catherine Thomas, Carrbridge (16) 77.

Bronze Division – 1 Scratch (Grant Trophy) Catherine MacKay, Muir of Ord (25) 99.

Handicap – 1 Diedre Wlodarcyzk, Tain (29) 73; 2 Joyce Elliott, Bonar Bridge/Ardgay (27) 80; 3 Lesley Cranna, Golspie (25) 81; Anne Duff, Golspie (28) 82 (bih).
