First round ties in North of Scotland Cup announced

The draw for the newly-named Pat Munro North of Scotland Cup first round sees an exciting Golspie Stafford v Brora Rangers tie.

This will be played on Wednesday, July 31, with an 8pm kick-off.

Other games are: Forres Mechanics v Elgin City, Fort William v Nairn County, Lossiemouth v Inverness CT, Strathspey Thistle v Clachnacuddin,Wick Academy v Invergordon. Ross County and Rothes received byes into Round 2.

The North of Scotland FA announced recently that the cup is to be sponsored by Pat Munro (Alness) Ltd.

At each match a collection will be taken to contribute to the work of the Pat Munro Foundation which was founded in 2017. The aim of the Foundation is to provide support to a variety of worthy causes within the local area including charities, community groups and other disadvantaged or social enterprise entities. The Foundation, run by volunteers from Pat Munro (Alness) Ltd, organise and take part in several events throughout the year to raise funds to support its work.

Alex Smith of Pat Munro (Alness) Ltd said “We are delighted to support local sport by sponsoring the North of Scotland Cup this year. We believe it is of vital importance to support our communities and can’t wait to be part of this historic cup competition. We would like to wish all of the teams the best of luck.”
