Golspie Sutherland prepare to take on Alness United in last four of Football Times Cup

GOLSPIE Sutherland will look to reach the final of the Football Times Cup when they take on Alness United in the Football Times Cup semi final tomorrow afternoon.

The two teams are set to clash at Dalmore Park with kick-off at 2pm.

The winner will face either Inverness Athletic or Invergordon who will face each other in the semi final in a date yet to be confirmed.

Golspie warmed up for tomorrow’s final with a 2-1 win over St Duthus last weekend.

Jack Lockett gave them the lead with Jack Wardrop leveling for the Tain outfit but Liam Bremner scored the winner.

Alness United were in rampant form last weekend as they defeated Fort William 6-2.

Michael Mackenzie scored a hat-trick with Chris Graham, Mikey Rae and Ryan Dryburgh all finding the net for Alness. Ruairidh Macdonald and Andrew Maclean scored for Fort William.

In the North Caledonian League last week, Bunillidh Thistle suffered a humiliating 15-1 defeat against champions Invergordon.

Logan Allison scored the only goal of the game for Thistle, with Invergordon running riot with hat-tricks for Andrew Miller and Ally Macdonald. Calum Brown and James Ross both scored twice with Ken Morrison, Calvin Butryum, Kyle Taylor and Michael Rodgers also finding the net.

Bunillidh will look for a better performance when they travel to league leaders Halkirk United tomorrow afternoon.

At Migdale, Bonar Bridge are set to take on Fort William as they look to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat against Thurso last week.

Andrew Brims and Liam Bremner scored for Thurso to give them a 2-0 lead. Jordan Shaw pulled one back for Bonar Bridge but the hosts could not find an equaliser.

Clachnacuddin A will be looking for their second win of the North Caledonian League campaign when they travel to Caithness to face Thurso tomorrow.

It has been a tough start for the Lilywhites’ colts team as they are currently second bottom of the table with six defeats from their eight matches so far this season.

Clachnacuddin A return to Caithness, seven days after they suffered heavy a 4-0 defeat to league leaders Halkirk United at Morrison Park.

They head to The Dammies to face a Thurso team who are also struggling as they are in ninth place with six defeats from their eight matches so far this season.In Kirkwall, Orkney are set to take on struggling Tain outfit St Duthus.
