They came from behind to thrash one of the top teams in the Inverness and District Premier League at Evanton.

Stafford are the only Sutherland club left in the tournament and will host Caithness First Division outift High Ormlie Hotspur in the quarter finals.

Campbell was pleased with his team’s performance and says they can’t afford to let their standards slip in the last eight.

“I am proud of the way my players performed against top opposition,” he said.

“We will have home advantage in the quarter finals, but HOH are a very good young side who mostly play for Halkirk in the North Caledonian League, so we will need to be at our best to make it to semi finals.”

Stafford fell behind on the half hour mark when Michael Rae found the net.

Stafford got back on level terms just before the break when a Sam Mackay shot from the edge of box went through a ruck of players straight into the net.

Stafford started the second half on the front foot and were awarded a penalty after Robbie Sutherland was fouled in box and Mackay converted.

Shaun Urquhart put Staffs 3-1 up finishing off at back post from a Mark Mackenzie cross.

Five minutes later Rovers got a goal back through Ryan McPhee. With 15 minutes remaining, Stafford got a second penalty which saw Mackay claim his hat-trick. Gary Pullen killed the game off with 10 minutes left with a free kick.
