The trophy is hotly contested each year and members remember her with affection.

The course was looking good, the rain stayed off but the wind was challenging.

Bonar ladies thank all players for supporting them.

Winners were: 1 Bel Shepherd 20 and Anne Gunn 25 (RDGC) 66; 2 Marjory Matheson 23 and Jeani Hunter 19 ( BBA) 66.4; 3 Isobel Bruce 32 and Rosanne Cowie 22 (RDGC) 66.8; 4 Mo Wemyss 15 and Caroline Munro 20 (BBA) 67; 5 Elsie Coupland18 and Wendy Crossland 35 (Strathpeffer) 67.2.

Bel Shepherd was 1ft 4in from the pin to win the nearest the pin challenge on the eighth hole.
