The former Hearts, Rangers and Southampton winger will take charge of Caley Thistle for their home game against Hearts on Friday.

It is unknown how long the ex-Dundee manager will be in charge of Inverness.

Robertson is on compassionate leave from Caley Thistle due to a family bereavement.

McCann's appointment was announced shortly after Inverness were held to a 2–2 draw with Alloa Athletic.
