BRORA Rangers picked up a morale boosting victory in the preparations for the new Highland League campaign as they defeated League One outfit Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Dudgeon Park.

Brora Rangers took the lead after 13 minutes when Tony Dingwall took advantage of a collision between Caley Thistle goalkeeper Jack Newman and one of his defenders to fire home a loose ball to give them the lead.

The Cattachs doubled their advantage when Max Ewan fired home a spectacular effort from 20-yards out to make it 2-0.

Inverness pulled one back just before half time as Shae Keogh fired home from close range.

But Brora Rangers pulled one back seven minutes after the break when Jordan Macrae found the net.

Dingwall then got his second of the match after he slammed home the rebound after Macrae’s shot hit the post.
