Highland League champions Brora Rangers get title defence off to a winning start in Banff against Deveronvale

Brora Rangers began the defence of their Highland League crown with a hard fought victory against Deveronvale at Princess Royal Park.

Andrew Macrae broke the deadlock with a stunning strike from 25 yards out midway through the first half.

Kelly doubled their advantage with 20 minutes remaining when Tom Kelly connected with Martin Maclean's cross to guide the ball into the net.

The Cattachs secured three points late on when Colin Williamson sent in a cross from the wing to find Ali Sutherland who fired into the net.
