Scorer: Bunce (72 pen)
Connor Bunce’s penalty in the 72nd minute was enough to ensure Brora Rangers remained three points clear at the top of the Highland League with victory over Nairn County.
It was a first half of little action, but Brora almost gifted Nairn the lead just before half time. The defence allowed the ball to roll slowly towards goalkeeper Cameron Mackay and Nairn forward Calum Mackay managed to charge into the box and get a shot off.
But his shot was straight at Mackay as the teams went into the match goalless.
Brora took their time to warm up in the second half, but Bunce came close to giving them the lead with two chances.
The first saw him charge into the box when his shot was parried away by Nairn goalkeeper Dylan Maclean. From the resultant corner kick, he managed get a shot on target which was blocked.
Nairn County then appealed for a penalty when they claimed Callum Mackay was taken down by Wallace Duffy, but the referee ruled it a fair challenge.
Tony Dingwall was then denied by the woodwork when his shot from 20 yards hit the crossbar after being parried by Maclean as the game started to spark into life.
With 18 minutes remaining, Brora were awarded a penalty kick when Bunce went down after being fouled in a crowded box.
Bunce then fired his shot into the bottom left corner of the net.
