Brora Rangers' hopes of promotion to League Two took a massive blow as they were beaten by Kelty Hearts in the semi final first leg at Dudgeon Park.

Brora Rangers conceded two penalties within the first 10 minutes.

But goalkeeper Joe Malin saved both spot-kicks from Kallum Higginbotham and Nathan Austin to keep the game goalless.

However, he was unable to stop a rocket of a shot from Dylan Easton to give Kelty the lead after 21 minutes.

Kelty doubled their advantage 11 minutes into the second half when they were given a third penalty.

Higginbotham made no mistake with his second attempt from the penalty spot.

Brora Rangers will attempt to claw back the deficit at New Central Park on Saturday.
