Brora Rangers will face Buckie Thistle in the second round of the SPFL Trust Trophy after beating Aberdeen Colts 2–0.

Buckie Thistle beat Hearts B 3–2 on Wednesday to set up an all-Highland League clash at Victoria Park on August 23 or 24.

Brora Rangers broke the deadlock midway through the second half in the 2–0 win over Aberdeen Colts.

Winger Ross Gunn, who has arrived from Rothes this season, ran on to a long ball on the left wing from Ally Macdonald.

His cross found the head of Jordan Macrae who powered home from six yards out.

Nine minutes from time, Andrew Macrae sealed victory when he managed to latch on to a ball in the box before firing home from 10 yards out.

n It has been announced that Neil Macdonald has stood down as assistant manager of Brora Rangers.

In a statement he said he resigned from the position due to work commitments
