BRORA Rangers will look to keep up their chase on Highland League leaders Brechin City when they travel to Bellslea to take on Fraserburgh on Satur

The Cattachs are one point behind Brechin after eight matches and will look to pounce on any slip up by the table toppers who take on bottom of the table Strathspey Thistle.

Brora Rangers will be looking to follow up their 3-0 win over Inverurie Locos at Dudgeon Park last Saturday.

James Wallace gave the Cattachs the lead in the first minute with Jordan Macrae doubling their advantage in the 34th minute.

Macrae killed the game off with 14 minutes remaining when he connected with a cross from George Robesten, who has joined Brora on loan from Ross County, to fire home.

Brora Rangers progressed to the semi finals of the North of Scotland Cup on Wednesday night when an injury time strike from Colin Williamson gave them a 1-0 win over Wick Academy at Dudgeon Park.

Wick had chance to take the lead when Kyle Henderson came close when he saw his free kick smash against the woodwork.

The win means they will face Lossiemouth in the semi final at Dudgeon Park on Wednesday, September 18.

Managerless Lossiemouth beat Forres Mechanics 3-1 on penalties after both teams were locked at 1-1 after normal time at Mosset Park.

The other semi final will be an Inverness derby as Clachnacuddin will face Inverness Athletic at Grant Street Park on Wednesday, September 18.

Clachnacuddin came from 2-0 down to level 2-2 with Nairn County before going on to win 4-3 on penalties.

Nairn dominated most of the match with Ali Morrison giving them a 1-0 lead in the first half and Gary Kerr doubled their advantage in the 53rd minute.

But James Anderson and Connor Bunce scored to level the game before Clachnacuddin won the shoot-out.

North Caledonian League leaders Inverness Athletic also came from behind to level their clash with Halkirk United in Alness.

With the score tied at 3-3 at normal time, Athletic went on to win the shoot-out 5-4 on penalties.

In the other Highland League matches tomorrow, Clachnacuddin play Buckie Thistle, Inverurie play Forres Mechanics, Keith face Lossiemouth, Nairn County take on Formartine United, Rothes take on Wick Academy and Turriff United face Huntly.
