Brora golfer wins North District Alliance Fixture competition at Reay

BRORA golfer Angela Grant won the women’s competition at the North Winter Golf Alliance fixture at Reay Golf Club.

She claimed the top prize with a net 72, three shots ahead of nearest rival Eleanor Tunn from Reay Golf Club.

Caithness golfers dominated the men’s competitions, with Reay golfer Tom Ross winning the scratch competition with a 67.

He was three shots ahead of Dougie Thorburn from Wick and five ahead of Jim Sangster from Thurso. James Meiklejohn from Reay won the category one section with a net 67. Allan Craigie from Thurso won the category two section with a net 67.
