Woman (66) admonished after admitting behaving in a threatening manner towards Ullapool man

A 66-YEAR-OLD woman who admitted conducting herself in a threatening manner towards a man in a Wester Ross village at various times over a period of 22 months has been admonished at Inverness Sheriff Court.

Dorcas Eatch, whose address was given in court as a property in Withington, Cheltenham, pleaded guilty to an amended charge on February 26.

It states that between April 7, 2021 and February 6, 2023, both dates inclusive, at Shore Street, Ullapool Pier, Riverside Terrace, all Ullapool and elsewhere she conducted herself in a threatening or abusive manner which caused Noel Hawkins c/o the Police Service of Scotland, fear or alarm “in that you did repeatedly publish web material making reference to him and repeatedly send e-mails to a variety of individuals and organisations making reference to him”.

This was contrary to Section 38(1) of the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010.

Eatch appeared for sentence before Sheriff Ian Cruickshank who declined to impose a non-harassment order to protect her victim.
