Variable whiskies will be auctioned

Following on from the success of their charity night last year, the Dornoch Castle Hotel is hosting a similar evening on Friday, November 4th.

This time the beneficiaries will be the RNLI and the East Sutherland Rescue Association (ESRA).

Called "Awash with Whisky", the main event is an auction, with plenty to bid for, including various bottles of valuable whiskies, high quality gifts from such as Jail Dornoch, and hotel breaks.

Local distilleries will also be providing whisky tastings.

There will be music from Corralach and there is a finger buffet with a complimentary glass of wine.

The evening is open to all but restricted to 80 people, and tickets cost £17.50.

Last year, the sum raised was £3500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
