Lairg Gala Week

Lairg Gala Week kicks off tomorrow and runs until Saturday, July 13. Includes fancy dress, children’s activities, dancing, sports, craft and local stalls and much more. Visit the Gala Week Facebook page for further- information.

Car Wash

Dornoch Fire Station and Royal Dornoch Golf Club Juniors car wash fundraiser at Dornoch Fire Station tomorrow 9am-3pm. £5 per car. All proceeds to the Fire Fighters charity and RDGC Juniors.

Durness Open Sheepdog Trials tomorrow at Keoldale Farm, near Durness, from 9am.

Ben Bhraggie 24

Ben Bhraggie 24 tomorrow 10am until Sunday 10am. A 24-hour continuous run/walk where the winner is the person who does the most loops within the 24 hours. Participants are able to rest if they want to. Limit of 50 places for the run. Email: golspiebackyardultra@gmail.com

Farlary Footpaths

Croft and garden open day at 43 Farlary, Rogart, tomorrow 12pm-4pm. Children’s woodland activities 2pm, tree hunt, raffle, plants stall, homebaking and refreshments. In aid of Rogart Hall funds.

Memorial Bash

Dwane Wardrop Memorial Bash at Kinlochbervie Village Hall tomorrow 8pm. Music by Rhythmnreel. Licensed; all bar proceeds go towards the continued refurbishment of Kinlochbervie football pitch. Tickets £15 from Kinlochbervie Garage.

Salt making workshop

Salt making workshop at Brora Heritage Centre on Sunday 10am-4pm. Join the Brora Salters to find out all about the village’s salt making heritage and give salt making a go. Weather permitting. Call the centre on 01408 622024 for updates.

Lairg Workshop

First of two workshops focusing on Lairg’s history and heritage at Ferrycroft Visitor Centre, Lairg, on Monday 10.30am. The second workshop will be on July 13. Free and open to everyone. For further information or to book a place, call 01549 402050.

Mindful Movement

The first of weekly mindful movement classes begins on Monday at Culrain Hall 5pm-6pm and also on Thursday outdoors behind Ardgay Hall 9am-10pm. A relaxing class that will stretch and tone your whole body with a calming, mindful finish. All abilities. To book, ring 07506 126084.

Wildflower Wander
