150th anniversary

Colour Fun Run at the Doll Hall, Brora, on Saturday. Registration11.30pm-12.15pm. Race starts at 12.30pm with the option of a 2.5k or a 5k route. Family fun and food afterwards. A Doll Community Association event.

Summer Solstice

Highland Pride Walk

Walk in Dornoch to mark Highland for Pride month on Saturday from 1pm. The walk starts at Dornoch Cathedral Green – look out for a person holding a Pride flag – and from there to the caravan park and the beach, returning via the golf course. Walk

Join the countryside ranger for a guided 12.5 mile walk to the top of Suilven in Assynt on Tuesday 9am-6pm. A strenuous walk on steep and rocky terrain. Suitable for over 18s only. Wear suitable clothing. Meet at the Walkers’ Car Park, Glencanisp Road. £25; book via Eventbrite.

Tain Gala

Tain Gala 10k and 3k fun run on Wednesday. Registration from 5.30pm in the Tain Gala marquee. £10/£3. Race starts 7pm. Run in conjunction with East Sutherland Athletics Club. Tain Gala runs from today until Saturday, For more information: www.taingala.co.uk
