The pair were invited on to the long-running BBC programme to talk about - and show off - their feats of strength.
This included a quick-fire round of questions in which they were quizzed on a variety of questions asked about kids, answering while lifting up presenters Shini and Joel.
The brothers later posted: “Still can’t believe it… we got a Blue Peter badge! A childhood dream come true!
“Huge thanks to the Blue Peter team for having us—we had an amazing time on the show.”
Tom is the reigning World’s Strongest Man, a title he has now won three times, and last week Luke notched the Britain’s Strongest Man title. Tom’s oldest brother is also holder of the Europe’s Strongest Man title.
Luke is 6ft 3in and 160kg (a weight equal to that of two kangaroos, according to the show’s researchers while Tom stretches to 6ft 8in and tips the scales at 190kg (the weight of a lion).
They told the TV audience what they have to do in strongman, lifting various different objects. Luke said: “You have to be really strong, really fit and really consistent with your training.”
And Tom spoke again of how autism is his superpower.
He swiftly lifted presenter Northern Irish Joel above his head while answering a suitably varied range of kids’ questions.
Luke revealed the heaviest thing he has lifted as “an aeroplane” and divulged that he packs away around 6000 calories a day.
Asked “have you ever accidentally broken something just by touching it?” a grinning Tom had an instant answer: “A toilet seat!”
He also reveals how many eggs he had for breakfast that day while Luke’s response to “What is the most ridiculous thing someone has asked you to lift?” is ‘Shini’, the Blue Peter presenter.
They then demonstrate a classic strongman event - the tyre flip, taking on a monster 160kg challenge.
A Blue Peter badge has been sought after by generations of children. A Blue Peter badge is described as “a special award given to the amazing people who appear on the show”.
There are a variety to collect and they can be earned in a number of ways, including as competition winners and show contributors.
The episode can be found on BBC iPlayer.
