ANOTHER windy day is in prospect across the Highlands as parts of Sutherland are still attempting to recover from the weekend storms.

The Met Office has issued a Yellow weather warning for wind which runs until 6pm this evening.

It says strong winds on Tuesday may lead to some disruption which could include:

- Some short-term loss of power and other services

- Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer

- It’s possible that some coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities will be affected by spray and/or large waves.

A number of households in the Highlands are still without power today in the aftermath of storms Malik and Corrie.
