Spectators enjoyed a mixture of tunes from the band, Highland dancing and a chance to see old friends in favourable evening weather.

Led by Pipe Major William Fraser, the parade began at 8pm as band members marched from the square around the corner to Castle Street.

The band played a 6/8 set of Dornoch Highland Gathering, Braemar Gathering, Pipe Major Sam Scott and the slow air Highland Cathedral.

This was rounded off with a selection of 4/4 tunes, including Scotland the Brave and the Rowan Tree.

The performance was complimented by a display of Highland dancing.
