Eight-year-old Pebbles went the extra mile to support a footballer turned ultra-distance adventurer who is hoping to run the entire route of the North Coast 500 (NC500).

Inverness-based Steven Mackay set off from Inverness Cathedral on Friday.

He is today on the fourth day of his challenge and last night he had reached the north Caithness coast.

Mr Mackay is aiming to complete the entire tourist route in just 10 days in aid of MFR Radio's Cash For Kids charity.
