The local leg of Cancer Research UK's Race for Life takes place in Inverness on May 29 where participants can run a 5k or 10k race.
Organiser Emily Stubbs has put out an appeal searching for volunteers to cover a variety of roles.
They are looking for a fitness enthusiast or gym instructor to host a warm up for the participants before the race.
They also need a caterer for the event as well as people to set up, cheer on runners, manage the information tent, give out water and give out medals to runners.
Emily Stubbs, Cancer Research UK’s Inverness event manager, said: “Volunteering at Race for Life is fun, challenging and rewarding.
“No experience is needed. It’s a great way to connect with the community as people come together and play their part to help beat cancer.
"By volunteering, people in Inverness will be helping to support a hugely successful fundraising event, enabling participants and their supporters to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK’s work.
“Whatever time and skills people have to share, we’ve got the perfect role and there is training available on the day. Our Race for Life events couldn’t happen without volunteers. Whatever time and skills people have to share, we’ve got a great role.”
