A FAMILY business in Easter Ross is set to come under the spotlight today as part of a scheme offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse into rural life.

Go Rural Scotland connects visitors and holiday makers with hundreds of working farms in Scotland.

During the coronavirus lockdown, it is offering free live virtual farm tours at set times on its Facebook page.

On Monday, it will come from Fearn Farm in Easter Ross which is farmed by the Scott family for four generations.

It promises a chance to go behind the scenes to learn about Scotch beef and lamb production.

The farm also produces malting barley which goes to make Glenmorangie whisky.

The Glenmorangie distillery is only a few miles from the farm, just outside Tain.

The Scott family have also recently lovingly restored an old mill on the farm which they plan to open as holiday accommodation.

The tour is scheduled to take place today (Monday, May 25) at 2pm.
