VE Day 80: Commemoration held at Rogart War Memorial





A SHORT ceremony was held at Rogart War Memorial today to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day).

Local resident Rachel Allan read the Kohima Epitaph and Donald McNeil read Binyon’s Lines.

Royal British Legion Scotland standard bearers were Donald McNeil, vice-chairman of the Creich and Kincardine branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland, and George McCulloch.

The Creich and Kincardine branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland is joined with Rogart and Lairg branches.
