UPDATE: A9 remains closed at Tomich following two-vehicle crash





Emergency services were called to the scene of a collision on the A9 in Easter Ross.

The A9 remains closed at Tomich in Easter Ross following a two-vehicle collision this afternoon.

Two casualties have been treated by paramedics. Their condition is unknown.

Police officers are at scene and diversion routes have been put into place.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident between Alness and Invergordon at 3.47pm.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent two appliances to the scene.

The police and Scottish Ambulance Service also attended.

Traffic Scotland is advising motorists to approach the area with care.
