Ullapool’s quirky Christmas Tree Festival has returned with over 40 unique creations
Ullapool’s quirky Christmas Tree Festival, filled with over 40 one-of-a-kind creations, has returned for its fifth year.
Hosted by the Lochbroom and Ullapool Church of Scotland on Mill Street, the event sees entries of extremely unique trees from many artistic local residents and creative community groups.
The festival is on display until today, Sunday, December 15, and is open from 12 to 6pm.

Organiser, Mike Newman said: “43 trees were entered this year, they are all unique and showcase the imagination and creativity which abounds in the community. So far we have welcomed over 400 visitors to the festival to be enwrapped in the joy, awe and wonder of the experience.”
Although the festival officially ends on December 15, many entries are left in-situ over the Christmas period and can be enjoyed during Sunday Worship at 11am, and at other Church of Scotland Christmas services.
Local primary school pupils also often visit the display, with many of the classes having entered their own decorated trees into the show.
There are no fees to enter or visit the festival, however some trees have their own collecting box to support a good cause.
