A HOST of flights in and out of Inverness Airport continue to be affected by fog that has refused to shift all day.

Highlands and Islands Airports Limited have so far reported a total of 20 disrupted arrivals and departures.

Loganair’s morning flights to Kirkwall and Dublin were cancelled, along with the airline’s early afternoon journey to East Midlands.

FlyBe’s lunchtime flight to Birmingham was also cancelled, while the company’s simultaneous Belfast City departure was delayed.

KLM’s 1.15pm flight to Amsterdam was also cancelled.

Other morning departures ran late, with many problems created by incoming services being delayed or diverted to other airports.

With no sign of the fog lifting, all other flights to and from Inverness this afternoon and evening remain at risk of being diverted or cancelled.

Passengers are advised to check with their airlines before travelling to the airport.
