Rab Kenny took to social media after a hedge trimmer and other garden equipment were removed from his property.

He posted: "Sad to report a theft from along Scotsburn Road in the early hours – garden equipment and hedge trimmer.

"They tried taking the petrol lawn mower, however the gravel drive must have spooked them as (it was) found half-way down the drive.

"Really sad as now we have to lock everything away and get a security system fitted."

Mr Kenny asked people to beware of being offered second hand equipment for sale.

"If anyone is offered a cheap Dewalt DCM5631P1 then it could be ours," he stated.

"They are expensive items and go for over £200 new. Any information would be gratefully received."
