Sutherland primary school closed 'on public health grounds'

Lochinver Primary School has closed today on 'public health grounds', the Highland Council has said.

Notification of the Sutherland school's shut down is on the authority's website.

Parents have been told that they can get the latest pre-recorded message from the head teacher by phoning 0800 564 2272 and using the school's individual PIN.

Highland Council stated: "We continue to follow national guidance regarding Covid-19 and we are working closely with public health and other partners in the Highlands and Islands Local Resilience Partnership."
