Sutherland man on robbery charge

A 23-year-old north Sutherland man appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court today on various charges including one alleging a robbery in Wick.

John Cowie of Strathy was also accused of taking and driving away a car; dangerous driving and having no licence or insurance.

He made no plea, was committed for further examination and released on bail.
