People in the north and west will be able to enjoy some of the latest releases when the Screen Machine returns to the area from next Friday.

It will be visiting Ullapool, Lochinver, Ullapool, Kinlochbervie, Durness and Bettyhill, giving film fans a chance to experience some of the latest box office hits.

Following its record breaking success at the UK box office, The Inbetweeners Movie sees all the regulars, including James Buckley as Jay and Simon Bird as Will, take off to Crete, where, strapped for cash, they attempt to have the holiday of a lifetime.

Woody Allen returns with Midnight in Paris, a whimsical modern-day fairytale rich on romance, humour and culture. Owen Wilson stars as a successful Hollywood screenwriter in his favourite city with his fiancée Inez (Rachel McAdams). Struggling with writer’s block, Gil wanders the streets alone after dark until one night he is magically transported back to 1920.

The classic Jane Eyre is given a Gothic makeover as Mia Wasikowska and Michael Fassbender take on the iconic roles of Jane and Rochester, while One Day, based on David Nicholls’ best selling novel, follows the friendship between Emma (Anne Hathaway) and Dexter (Jim Sturgess) as seen on the same day each year for 20 years.

Younger viewers will enjoy The Smurfs, a huge hit based on the animated series which sees the little heroes taken from their village to New York, where they must find a way home.
