The new shop will be officially opened on Saturday, June 14.

The shop will be officially launched on Saturday, June 14, by Anna Campbell-Jones, the broadcaster, interior designer and judge/presenter of BBC 1’s Scotland’s Home of the Year.

A former pupil of Dornoch Primary School, Amy completed her secondary education in Inverness and went on to pursue a career in interiors and architecture. She decided to start her own business, Britton Scotland, in 2014 after becoming a mother.

“Growing up, my grandparents inspired my love for nature and instilled a deep appreciation for long-lasting design and quality,” she said. “I wanted to manufacture a product that was made in Scotland that tells the story of Scotland.”

Britton Scotland has a small-batch production workshop in Stirling and creates lifestyle products such as glass cases, handbags, coin purses, pencil cases and laptop covers.

Britton Scotland products are stocked by the National Trust.

The company focuses on sustainability and tradition, using Scottish materials such as Harris Tweed as well as recycled and reused materials, including recycled zips, woven labels derived from plastic bottles and recycled coffee cup paper labels.

An environmentally conscious range of products is manufactured using these materials.

Amy said: “The Dornoch store is more than a shop. It is a celebration of Scottish craft and a lesson in sustainability. At Britton Scotland, we’re driven by a deep responsibility to help consumers make thoughtful, future-focused choices. We believe this is our one chance to make meaningful change and the urgency is far greater than many realise.”

Every product in our store has a story. From our own Harris Tweed products, upcycled vintage tweed to offcuts and surplus materials, we turn them into luxury pieces that honour our heritage and support a more sustainable future.”

Alongside Britton Scotland’s own collections, the store will showcase the work of other companies that share a commitment to environmental care and craftsmanship. These include Skyeskyns, Ocean Plastic Pots, and Darach Whisky Barrel products.

The store is also the only stockist for Anna Campell-Jones’s own Scottish products.

Anna said: “Amy’s shop encapsulates my brand values perfectly and we plan to collaborate on future products too, so watch this space!”

Saturday’s launch event will feature Anna Campbell-Jones sharing her passion for Scottish design and craft and there will also be an opportunity to meet Amy and browse round her collections.

The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 10am-5pm.
