Rotarian who camped outside at Brora church in aid of Ukraine thanks supporters for their generosity

He has not been short of company during his outdoor sojurn to highlight the plight of refugees in Ukraine.
Rotarian Alistair Risk enjoyed frequent visits from local people and passers-by while staying in a “shelterbox” next to the Episcopal Church in Brora, where the Ukrainian flag was also flown.
And nor has he been short of treats with plenty of home baking handed in for his consumption.
The last visitors to the tent before it was packed up last week were members of Brora Rotakids and school teachers who listened intently to Mr Risk’s talk about his fundraising - and helped eat the last of the baking!
Mr Risk’s efforts to raise money for international disaster charity ShelterBox have paid dividends.
He said: “Our original target was to raise enough funds to buy two ShelterBox tents as part of the support for refugees.
“The total amount raised is not known yet, but I am confident that it will exceed £4000 which means we will be able to send eight or more ShelterBox tents and kit to Poland for Ukrainian refugees.”
Mr Risk has thanked supporters for their generosity.
