A PRINCESS made waves during a grand entrance to an Easter Ross town yesterday.

Invergordon’s latest cruise liner visitor arrived in the town as part of a 12-day tour that takes in the British Isles, Ireland and France.

The Regal Princess, operated by Princess Cruises, has capacity for 3800 passengers.

Many alighting at the Easter Ross deep water port yesterday were booked on tours of Highland visitor attractions with an array of buses, taxis and tour operators on stand-by for whistle-stop trips. She was due to depart at 6pm.

The Regal Princess set out from, and will return to, Southampton. Stops along the way included Cork, Liverpool, Greenock and Kirkwall. She is scheduled to sail for Leith this evening before a further stop in Le Havre before return to Southampton.
