Red Arrows display to take place at RAF Lossiemouth event

Aviation enthusiasts are in for a treat as RAF Lossiemouth has officially announced an exciting line-up of flying displays set to take place next month - including one by the Red Arrows.

The displays are part of the base’s Friends and Families Day celebrations on Saturday, June 7.

The flying schedule will feature a joint flypast by the Typhoon and P-8 Poseidon at 12.40pm and then a spectacular display by the Red Arrows at 1.15pm.

Members of the public planning to watch the displays are strongly advised to position themselves north of the airfield, towards West Beach.

This area provides the best and safest vantage point while ensuring spectators remain outside the designated display zone (marked in red on official maps).

Please do not access the 05 end of the runway or Drainie Road, as these locations fall within restricted zones.

An RAF Lossiemouth spokesperson said: "We want everyone to enjoy the day safely.

"We ask all visitors to ‘spot safely’, follow all road closures, and adhere to the safety information provided.

“Please be mindful and respectful of our local community and neighbours."

RAF Lossiemouth’s Friends & Families Day is a key event in the station’s calendar, celebrating the contributions of RAF personnel and their families, and showcasing the impressive capabilities of the Royal Air Force to those who support it most.
