Moray’s Findhorn Bay Festival 2024 programme released
A full programme is now out listing everything on offer for folk to do and see at a coastal festival.
A total of 42 shows and 119 events will be going on at various Moray venues over ten days in September for the Findhorn Bay Festival.
These attractions include a wide-ranging mix of live music, performances. exhibitions, talks, displays and family-friendly activities.
Kresanna Aigner, creative director of Findhorn Bay Arts, said: “Participation and engagement are at the heart and centre of our programme.
“We look forward to welcoming local and visiting audiences to celebrate the very best of local, national and international cultural experiences.
“The fifth Findhorn Bay Festival programme is set to spark debate and reflection as well as inspire people of all ages.”
The opening concert on Friday, September 20 will feature two local musicians and singer-songwriters on their home turf – Brother Sea and Oran.
Another highlight will be Kurt Elling and the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, who will be performing pop classics at Elgin Town Hall by the likes of Joe Jackson and The Police, plus classics by artists such as Duke Ellington and Count Basie.
Top Scottish band Main Street Blues are set to perform the music of three guitar masters who shared the same surname – BB, Albert and Freddie King.
The festival also welcomes back the National Theatre of Scotland with June Carter Cash: The Woman, Her Music and Me.
Meanwhile, festival favourite Ben Harrison is returning with his long-term collaborator David Paul Jones, to perform Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me – a homage to the 1980s.
Family shows taking place will include Moonbeam on a Cat’s Ear, adapted from the book by Marie-Louise Gay, and Unicorn Dance Party.
Celebrated South Korean-born cellist Su-a Leen is going close the festival on Sunday, September 29, along with her collaborators from her debut album Dialogues.

The festival programme will be free to pick up at multiple locations around Moray over the forthcoming days and weeks.
