An activity programme will be offered in these three areas running from January to August 2021.

This will includes outdoor and expressive arts opportunities to enable young people to improve their mental health and wellbeing.

The project is to work in partnership with Golspie High School and The Young Karers East Sutherland (TYKES) - as well as An Cala Education and Training Unit, Dingwall Academy and Lochaber High School.

High Life Highland’s principal youth work manager Mark Richardson said: “Young people are experiencing challenging times where social isolation, anxiety and depression, low confidence and self-esteem are amplified because of the current coronavirus pandemic.

“This project is designed to provide targeted support to make sure young people have access when they most need it.”
