Police in Inverness are appealing for witnesses following an alleged assault in the Kinmylies area a week ago, on Tuesday 15 October.

A man in his 50s was allegedly assaulted whilst walking between Kinmylies Way and King Brude Road at around 5pm.

He received hospital treatment at Raigmore Hospital for minor facial injuries.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who has any information about the incident and would encourage them to contact Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or online at http://www.crimestoppers-uk.org/.

No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
