Police appeal for theft info

Police yesterday received a report from an engineer responsible for the maintenance of the O2 mobile mast at Cambusmore Estate, south of Golspie.
He told Police that when he attended the mast on a routine inspection, he noticed that copper lightening protection strips had been removed, as well as electrical connections.
When the site was last visited by an engineer on 6 June 2011 all was in order.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have information about the theft to contact them at Dornoch on 01862 810222 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
The items removed included: six copper strips 1-2 metres x 25mm x 3mm. The estimated cost of of the copper is £600.
