Police appeal for information over clothing stolen from Migdale store

Police in Sutherland sent out a fresh appeal for information on Friday about a break-in at a business premises near Bonar Bridge.

Entry was forced to Migdale County Stores in the early hours on Tuesday, October 6, last year and a significant number of items of clothing and footwear were stolen from the shop, valued at over £12,000.

Items stolen included boots in various sizes from Buckbootz; numerous Hoggs of Fife clothing items such as male jackets, trousers, tops, female tweed jackets and waistcoats; and Pro Field clothing jackets and trousers.

Detective Constable Aggie Paluch said: “Our enquiries into this incident remain ongoing and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

“In particular, if you have been offered any of the items mentioned above, we would like to speak to you to establish whether you have information which could assist the investigation.

“Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 0584 of October 6. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
