Motorists are being advised of potential delays today (Friday, June 6) as Police Scotland road policing officers escort an abnormal load from Nigg to Strathrory Windfarm.

The slow-moving, lengthy convoy began its journey around 10.30am today, and is expected to travel via the B9175, A9, and a series of local roads through Alness and Ardross, lasting most of the day.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Road Policing Officers are escorting an abnormal load from Nigg to Strathrory Windfarm today, Friday June 6.

“The route is as follows: B9175 (9.4km), along A9 to Alness (14.5km), turn off onto Unclassified (900m), Obsdale Road (300m), Caplich Road (800m), Ardross Road (600m), Unclassified (2.6km), B9176 Struie Road (5.5km).

“The escort will commence around 10.30am and is expected to last most of the day.

“The load is very long and slow moving. Officers will minimise the disruption as much as possible. If you are likely to be travelling in the area please take care.
