Car smashes through fence and into phone box in Lairg hit and run

Police are appealing for witnesses after a hit and run incident in Lairg on Monday morning.

Officers from Police Scotland's headquarters in Golspie said a driver smashed through a fence and damaged a phone box.

A spokesman said: "Police Scotland are keen to hear from anybody with information relating to a hit and run incident which occurred in the early hours of Monday, November 23.

"A vehicle has gone through a fence and collided with a BT box at Tirryside near Lairg, causing extensive damage to both.

"The driver has made off without reporting the incident."
