PICTURES: Parade and service held in Dornoch for Remembrance Sunday

A large crowd attended Dornoch’s parade of Remembrance on Sunday.

The parade was led from from the Square up to the War Memorial, where a service was held at 10.40am.

Various members of local organisations then laid wreaths at the memorial.

Thereafter, members of the Dornoch Pipe Band were led by Mr David Fraser accompanied the procession and the lament was played by piper Daniel Murray.

Mr Archie Macdonald was in charge of proceedings.

The parade then joined for a service at Dornoch Cathedral, led Locum Minister Rev Carol Anne Porter.

This was followed by a reading from Kim Tulloch, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Sutherland.

The service also included a presentation from Claire Mackay, Kieran Allan and Jasmine Riordan of Dornoch Academy, before a poem, The Day War Came, was read by Nicola Davies.
