PICTURES: ‘No Golspie High School, no party!’ - Pupils get into the Tartan Army spirit ahead of Euros opener
Pupils at Golspie High School have been getting into the Euros spirit today, as Scotland prepare to meet Germany in the opening game of the finals tonight.
To celebrate the occasion, children were all asked to come to school wearing something Scottish (football strip, tartan or just something blue) to show their support.
In period three of the day, senior S6 pupils led a whole school quiz. Pupils were asked to organise their teams of up to six in each team with 12 house points awarded to the winning team.
Eight points were awarded to second place and four points to third.
In period four, the school held an “enthusiastic” whole school ceilidh.
PE teacher Sandy Elrick said: “It was brilliant to see such an atmosphere and buzz for the Euros.
“All pupils were fantastic but a big thanks to our S6s, who organised an enjoyable Scottish quiz, which was followed by a very enthusiastic ceilidh.
“A great day celebrating Scottish sport and culture!”
