After a two-year gap because of the coronavirus pandemic, Lairg's Winterfest was back with a bang last Saturday.

Organisers Lairg and District Community Initiatives (LDCI) expressed delight at the large turnout with folk coming from as far afield as Perth for the festival.

As usual the highlight of the day was the arrival of Father Christmas and his elves, along with reindeers from the Cairngorm Reindeer Herd.

There was plenty to see and do on the day with a craft fair, bouncy castle and other activities.
