PICTURES: King Charles welcomed by large crowd at Forsinard Flows

Members of the community joined scientists, politicians and other delegates in welcoming His Majesty King Charles to Forsinard Flows earlier today for a commemorative plaque unveiling.
The King was making his first visit to the site after becoming a patron of the RSPB, on the back of the Flow Country’s successful UNESCO World Heritage Site bid.

Attendees noted that the King showed a “great interest” in the project and was “very knowledgeable” and “well informed” on subjects such as peatland restoration and the importance of the site’s new World Heritage Site status.
