Golspie pulled out all the stops to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its hugely popular Gala Week.
Gold was the theme of the week, particularly in the fancy dress competition which took place on Friday evening.
Competitors excelled themselves in coming up with golden ideas, ranging from Golden Gala to Gold Diggers and Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve.
There was a strong sixties and seventies vibe with floral mini dresses, white knee high boots and patterned trousers.
Some competitors opted to go with current issues such as the SNP motorhome controversy and 20mph speed limits.
The procession from Golspie High School playing fields, where competitors initially congregated, up the Main Street to the King George V playing field, was a sight to behold.
As usual retired Golspie High School teacher Alan Barclay presented the prizes. He spoke about the huge effort, creativity and enthusiasm which went into the event.
President of the Gala Week organising committee Alistair Matheson said it had been an "unbelievable" week.
