Sutherland Riding Club’s charity horse show has raised an amazing £820 for Macmillan and World Horse Welfare.

The annual, fun event was hosted by kind permission of Allan and Diane Mackay at Doll Riding Centre. Judge was Anne Henderson, Culrain Mains, ably supported by writer Annie Mackay.

The day began with the inhand showing followed by a short break for tea and then the ridden section.

An exceptional day concluded with the fancy dress class for horse and handler, followed by the trophy presentations.

Local businesses sponsored rosettes, sashes and trophies and money was raised through entries, a lucky squares draw and refreshment donations.

Show organiser Shirley McLauchlan said support for the show had been “overwhelming”.
