The Kyle of Sutherland Joggers teamed up with the Kyle of Sutherland Hub to organise the fun and friendly event on Sunday.

More than 50 people of all ages took part, and each received a Santa hat to wear on the 5k run and gentle walk, which started and finished at the Kyle of Sutherland Hub.

Elissa Stevenson, who helped with the event, said: “A large number of local people supported the event including families with buggies and dogs, and a group from Alness Joggers also attended. It was a sunny morning, and everyone enjoyed themselves.

“Afterwards there was an opportunity to have a blether at the hub and enjoy tea and coffee as well as a delicious spread of cakes and biscuits provided by the Kyle of Sutherland joggers and hub volunteers.”

“It has been five years since this event has taken place, and it was deemed a huge success.

“A big thank you to everyone who took part and supported the event by baking and marshalling.”
