Police in Golspie are urging members of the public not to take matters into their own hands over possible breaches of coronavirus regulations.

Local officers have been made aware of a letter being sent from an unknown person, stating that the recipient has been observed breaching the current Covid-19 restrictions.

Anyone with concerns about other people possibly breaching the rules is asked to contact police via 101 or through Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Police say they will attend and complete any investigation required into highlighted concerns.

Any other local residents who receive similar letters are also asked to contact police.
